About Amanda

Amanda was born and raised on a small family farm near a small village called Howards Grove in Sheboygan County. She didn't grow up with money or connections. Amanda grew up with grit, honesty, and a deep belief that community takes care of its own. From bussing tables and bartending to directing a multi-state federal science agency, her path has been shaped by real work and real people.

For nearly 25 years, Amanda served the public through the U.S. Geological Survey, leading teams that protected the water and natural resources Wisconsin families rely on. She still substitute teaches in local classrooms, because she believes leaders should stay rooted in the communities they represent.

Amanda is a progressive populist running a campaign built from the ground up, not funded by special interests or driven by party insiders. Her campaign is inclusive by design, because the people of the 6th District include farmers, working families, people of color, immigrants, LGBTQIA+ neighbors, and everyone who has ever felt like Washington wasn't talking to them. That changes when Amanda goes to Congress.

From farms to federal agencies, she's lived the challenges of this district. She's ready to be the changemaker the 6th District deserves.
