FARMERS & RURAL COMMUNITIES

Policy priorities

  • Increase competition in seed and fertilizer markets by breaking up corporate monopolies and instituting anti-trust policies

  • Give farmers the right to repair their own equipment, limiting deceptive manufacturing practices like planned obsolescence or non-standard parts

  • Allow farmers to negotiate directly with buyers

  • Expand rural broadband

Plain language
Farmers should not be controlled by a few big companies. They should be able to fix their equipment, choose where they buy supplies, and sell their products fairly. Rural communities deserve the same opportunities as anywhere else.
